  ALI is a "No kill" shelter

ALI does not kill animals simply because they have not been placed within a certain length of time. We keep the animals until we are able to find homes for them

and some of have waited as long as two years or more to find homes to call their own. Every attempt is made to provide as much of a home-like environment as is possible, in our shelter.

ALI's Priorities and the type of animals we accept

ALI's Veterinarian Care

All animals in ALI's shelter receive complete veterinarian care from Avondale Veterinary Healthcare Complex which includes:

• Vaccinations and rabies
• General Health Assessment
• Heartworm checks - for dogs
• Preventatives
• Leukemia & FIV checks - for cats
• Wormed
• Any medical care necessary to maintain their health
• Microchip implant
• All are spayed or neutered before being placed in a home.
