Jack was born March 31, 2003 and is a great looking lemon or blonde beagle that weighs 27.7 pounds.  He came to ALI from another shelter when it was discovered that both his back "knees" needed surgery.   He had his surgery on  April 21 and is beginning to recover.  He will need about 4 to 6 weeks of rehab to recover fully.  For the first week, he will not be available to be seen and then we will begin letting potential adopters meet him.  The earliest he would be able to go home would be 5 weeks after his surgery.  We expect a full recovery and Jack will need a loving home as he likes to be with people all the time! May 21, 2009 UPDATE: Jack had his follow-up x-rays today and both his knees are healing very well.
